St. Augustine Parking Garage – St. Augustine, FL
Precaster: Coreslab Structures (TAMPA) Inc.
The Owner of the project and adjacent to the Visitor Information Center is one of the oldest, continuously-occupied European-origin settlements in the United States.
The exterior facade utilized lightly sand blasted panels with cast stone insets. White cement was used with several pigments to create 3 exterior colors. The colored precast façade, emulates the predominate Mediterranean Revival architectural style, incorporating the indigenous coquina stone aggregate into the precast trim elements as well as other unique precast façade details like octagon shaped brick terra cotta columns, column caps, arched panels and precast domes.
The arched panel walkways used back to back pieces to create deeper panels and have a consistent finish on the interior and exterior of the walkways. Some of the arched panels even had trim elements along the arches.
