Building a garage as the center piece to a shopping center was the challenge on this project. Making a water tight roof for the retail areas was of utmost importance. On this project it was done with a field topped double tee system, where the GC applies a 2”-3” field topped surface and water membrane to the top of a rake finished double tee structure.

Maneuvering a high volume of vehicles in and out of a garage is inherent in any shopping center and is structurally taken care of by using a speed ramp configuration within the garage.
